YouTube: The Who and What of Epic Win.

YouTube. You love it, I love it, the world loves it. What could possibly be better than a website that showcases the world and it's inhabitants at the click up the mouse? We've laughed with (and at) members, cried, been completely appalled, physically ill and have discovered phenomenal talent through user-submitted videos. Deny it all you want, but I know you have too. The world shares its talents, thoughts, feelings and utter humiliation with each other all through YouTube.

Subscribe to your favourite members, watch their comedy, musicianship, or just hear about their day, it's almost like stalking but legal... and awesome. I've been watching some of my favourite YouTubers from the very beginnings of their video days and I love when they upload new content to watch and fill my bored moments! Here are a couple of my favourite YouTube subscriptions and highlights of their escapades!

  • Foundmyrosebud01
  • What started out as reply videos to member DaxFlame, Shawn's channel has grown into its own completely bizarre entity. Faux-bearded Shawn added appearances from his friend Joel quite literally could keep me entertained for hours on end had I the time to spare!
My Personal Favourite Video: Dreams Really Do Come True

  • Goonieman86
  • Say what you will about Nick Pitera, but the man eats epic win for breakfast! In case you don't remember the name, Nick Pitera is the man who can switch between a male's singing voice and a flawless female's falsetto in a split second. Most known for his "Disney's Give Us Your Voice" contest entries with over three million hits each, Nick never ceases to make me shake my head in disbelief no matter how many times I watch it.
My Personal Favourite Video: Me Singing A Whole New World Disney's Aladdin Nick Pitera

  • AndrewBravener
  • I've been watching Andrew Bravener's channel since I saw his first video response to User: ketchuppopsicle who was responding to a video by DaxFlame a year ago. I've watched his videos go from a bit shy and quiet to belting out horrifically off-key (in the most comically awesome way possible) renditions of Mika and Elton John and causing his over twelve and a half thousand subscribers to bust a gut laughing! From hysterical collaborations with other YouTubers, or teaching us how to make oddly delicious snacks to simply sharing "Unfortunate" stories from his past, I"ve never made it all the way through one of Andrew's videos without cracking up.

  • BaratsAndBereta
  • A comedy team from Washington, Luke Barats and Joe Bereta combine scripted comedy with fantastic acting to create satirical masterpieces and all around side-splitting entertainment.
My Personal Favourite Video: PC Fratboys

  • AmazingPhil
  • From York, UK, AmazingPhil comically video blogs about daily adventures, as well as creates short movie clips for pure entertainment. Turn up the volume a bit and listen carefully because the boy talks about a million hyperactive miles a minute, which really only serves to make the videos that much more entertaining to watch. Phil has a great sense of wit and humour about him and uses his charm to win over his audiences and keep us coming back to watch more.

Now that I've shared some of my favourite talent and comedians on YouTube, here are my top favourite videos according to Genre!

      • Extreme Pwnage: The Ultimate NutShot
      • This is why boys exist, simply to do idiotic things for cameras and make the entire world laugh at them. My favourite part is to look at the comments such as "STAGED!!! HE KNEW IT WAS COMING!" ... ummmm ... of course he did! He suck his balls out and prepared himself for complete and ultimate pwnage. That's what boys do.

      • WTF: Yodelling Clowns
      • Before clicking on this link, ask yourself four questions: 1) Do I have severe issues with Yodeling, Alp-horns, and gutteral grunting of emasculating sort? 2) Do clowns scare the ever-loving piss out of me? 3) Am I prone to any sort of epileptic attack due to flashing lights and rapidly changing colours? 4) Have I ever had a horrifying acid trip that resulted in severe flashbacks that mentally or emotionally scarred me for life? ... if you answered yes to any of these questions, don't even click on the link. Don't even do it.

      • Parody: 300 - It's Raining Men
      • There has never in the history of the bazillion 300 parodies ever been anything this truly amazing. Not ever.

      • Amateur Music: The Four Chords Song
      • Benny Davis creatively blends all of the pop songs we hated to admit we loved into one song. I count 20 different songs jammed into a surprisingly flowing three minutes. Make it a drinking game, one shot for every song you hear that you remember dancing in your bedroom too and belting out mumbled lyrics into a hairbrush. No lying rule in effect!

      • Blog/Podcast: Episode #7: Manchester Orchestra Podcast
      • Anyone who knows me knows that I'm head over heels in love with this band, Manchester Orchestra. Their podcast never ever ceaces to crack me the heck up, especially this episode. Singer Andy Hull drives the band back to Atlanta after a 2006 performance at Chicago's Lollapalooza and reflects upon the performance and likens band mate Jonathan Corley's a cappella singing voice to war-tactic torture.

      • Directed/Scripted: Barats and Bereta: Completely Uncalled For
      • Barats and Bereta turn even the most simple videos such as watercooler knock knock jokes into bust-a-gut riotous laughter.
