Wanted: Weapons of Fate
![]() ![]() Hello, So I rented this game, Wanted: Weapons of Fate. It was fun shooter with some new and some improved game mechanics. You could bend bullets and slow time to get those sweet one shot kills. It had three different weapons, the pistol, the dual SMGs and the sniper rifle, all had their uses, although you could only use the sniper at certain points in the game, so for those avid snipers, you only get 3 or four sniping opportunities. The game was very short, a total of 5 or six hours on a first time run through on medium difficulty. It also has very low replayability you can unlock different characters to play through the game as, but that’s pretty much it. The voice acting was good except for the main character who sounded nothing whatsoever like James McAvoy. Although bending bullets was a new trick to shooters, and it was fun, it did get very frustrating and some points. It would take you out of cover or lock onto nothing and waste a shot. Now wasting a shot doesn’t sound so bad but when you have to kill an enemy to gain adrenaline which allows you to do special moves, such as bending bullets, wasting a shot can tick you off. Slow motion isn’t new to shooters but it was done quite well and did allow you to get those three perfect headshots which makes room clearing easy but still fun. The enemies did take cover and fire a lot at you, so the AI was actually really good. The bosses were average, no trick to killing them, just wear ‘em down with your bullets, which is always fun. The cover system was fine, there was nothing wrong with it, it didn’t mess you up, so that was good. All in all, the game was fun, but really short with minimal replayability. No more than a rental.
