Hooked ya, didn't I? Who doesn't want to see the Aussie beach bunnies go nude? Well here's your chance! Of course, it's not nearly what you think. Yearly, the Leukemia Foundation sponsors "The World's Greatest Shave". Before we get right into the goods of it, let me lay some facts on you.

Leukemia is a malignant disease (cancer) of the bone marrow and blood. it is characterized by the uncontrolled accumulation of blood cells.

In 2007 in the United States alone there were 44,240 new cases of leukemia diagnosed.

Leukemia is non gender, age, or race-specific.

The relative five-year survival rate has more than tripled in the past 47 years for leukemia patients to over 50%, but there is still so much more that we can do.

And this is where The World's Greatest Shave comes in. Aussies are taking a stand nation-wide and stepping up to the plate and up to the razor and shaving their heads for charity. Between March 13th and 15th volunteers will be taking pledges and sponsors and will shave (or colour) their hair for an amazing cause. All the funds raised will be used to support patients with families living with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, and other blood-related disorders. Support is given in the forms of providing transport to and from hospitals, practical assistance, education programs, and providing accommodations close to treatment centres for families. Donations will also be funding vital research for treatments and cures.

Many companies get involved, as well as schools and individuals alike, each member sets up a pledge page so the world can sponsor and donate money for the cause and see the results of the shaved or dyed hair online.

We are all about doing our part here at Sound Faction. We have pledged $150 to Worlds Greatest Shave, and for every viewer that pledges and E-mails Us with the amount they pledged, we at Sound Faction will match 50% and donate again.

Facts:

$55 pays for one car to transport patients to and from treatment centres for one day.
$100 provides a family with a fully furnished "home away from home" near a treatment centre for one night.
$250 provides a family with a tailored counseling and support program for three months.
All donations are tax deductible.
