Sebastien Lefebvre - Les Robots
![]() There it was, out of nowhere, one day, the preview for the new EP. Was I excited? Heck yeah! Was it like his first EP? Heck no! I was really intrigued and dying to hear what this was going to fully sound like. I'm telling you, 40 second clips does no one justice. It's a cruel joke to play on any fan. Especially me. I just sat there replaying it over and over and over again until it was time for some new music. But you bet that I went back to his myspace and listened a few more times… daily. Sébastien Lefebvre decided to wait a while… a good while… a long while… to release anything that had to do with the EP. Fans were waiting patiently until one day he posted a video. A video! Youtube connected faster than you can say cheese. I was excited to hear a full song. There he was sitting in his studio with his fancy acoustic guitar ready to perform the first song. "Sending you a letter/Hello my friend" this was good, really good. Very simple, yet very honest! I knew right then and there that this EP was going to be a whole new level of good music. "Les Robots" was released a few weeks later on his website www.sebastienlefebvre.ca and it was FREE! I would have paid in a heart beat, but free was good too. I downloaded the songs and sat there listening to each and every one. Sébastien did not and cannot disappoint with his new EP. This is definitely feel good record that you could have playing in the background or on your iPod as you're lost in your own thoughts. In my opinion, I find this to be more personal then "You Are Here (Vous êtes ici). Sébastien's voice is unique and sweet as is his writing talent. Songs like "Crossed out" and "Getting stuck in my head" will stick out from all the rest. Something about the honesty in the lyrics and the perfect melody will have you hooked. Being French Canadian it wasn't a surprise that you would find a french song titled "Tu me Manques" meaning "I miss you". A catchy song which only I can assume has very sweet lyrics. Another fun part of "Les Robots" is the song "Catch me" featuring the talented singer/songwriter Katie Rox. Their voices blend beautifully together. "Les Robots" Is beautiful from the first song to the last song. If you like simple, this is the perfect EP for you. It's all available on his website www.sebastienlefebvre.ca "The secrets are gone…" This guest review was done by Sound Faction BFF Tasha! Thank you so much for your input Tasha!
