AmazingPhil hails us from the United Kingdom. With (at current count) 79 YouTube videos and over 5,000 subscribers, Phil makes his rounds on YouTube providing us with blog-style comedy and short films as well as just lifestyle updates. (It's part of why we love YouTube, it's like stalking... but better!) Phil also shows up on the most-subscribed of all time (UK) lists, as well as several most-viewed on daily, weekly and monthly basis'.

Currently a student in York, UK, Phil has graced YouTube with videos for two years, starting off his time with the community with short movies and moving into blogs and collaborations. There are many theories as to how Phil captivates his YouTube audiences so much, but we here at Sound Faction are pretty sure that the power is in his hair, and the fact that he talks about a million miles an hour.

I got a chance to ask AmazingPhil a few questions about his YouTube channel, his videos, and what the future has in store for him. You heard it first on Sound Faction!

Why, Phil, are you so Amazing?

I was bitten by a mystical beast.

Where does the inspiration for your videos come from?

A lot of the time I just talk about funny things that happen to me, but sometimes I'll be in the shower and suddenly have an idea from nowhere. A lot of my videos were planned in the shower. Haha!

Which video of yours has been the most fun to create?

The coin of destiny, as it was 3am and I was just playing around with my friends - also Robotube was really fun as everyone was so creative and got really involved.

How does it feel to have over 4,000 subscribers watching your every YouTube move?

Crazy! It's 5,000 now, that's a lot of people! It's nice though, I feel like I have my own mini tv show or something.

Who are your top five favourite YouTubers and why?

Ohh five! Argh, that's really hard... I love everyone I'm subscribed to, about 60 of them, but six people coming to mind now...

AndrewBravener: One of the first people I started actually talking to on YouTube, awesome videos and really nice guy.
KickthePJ: Again one of the early friends, great vids with special effects. Friendly and interacts with the community.
MattG124: Hilarious guy, good friend, constantly funny videos and made some great ones for "RoboTube"
Kokiriforest: I love her outlook on life, she is really individual and makes quality videos.
dudeneedaeaseonup: More of a new friend, but I love how he can talk for 8 minutes and never be boring!
AnatomicallyInc22: Really funny videos, a really unique person! Also sent me a lion hat for christmas along with her flatmate angie =]

What are your five most recently Favourited videos?

Erm.. A crazy one tryingt o get people to vote who is the best between me, Andrew and Matt, Pastacine people having sex, John's Video, Matt's Video, and a nice video response from a new YouTuber girl.

What do you think is the #1 best video on YouTube of all time?

Noah takes a picture of himself every day for 6 years

What does the AmazingPhil channel and its subscribers have to look forward to in your world?

More of the same really, I don't want to change. I want to do a collaboration with Andrew and MattG but haven't really thought of any ideas yet. Maybe an epic video in summer when I have time.

What is your personal favourite thing about YouTube?

Getting to talk to people in other countries and see a window into their lives.

What equipment do you film and edit your videos with?

A cheap Sony dv camcorder, and pinnacle studio ultimate/Adobe premiere.

If you had all the equipment you needed and the budget to spare, what would be your dream video to make?

A film about the end of the world.

If you could have any non-standard (re: flying, x-ray vision... comic book stuff) superpower, what would it be?

Stop time!!! I would draw on people's faces.

What is your least favourite vegetable that isn't green?

Tomato

If you were a flavour of Potato Crisp, what kind would you be?

Salt and Vinegar? I am English..

If you could be the champion of anything, what would it be? (If you say "the world" we all start laughing hysterically, just so you know.)

Lion taming.

If you could be any old-school rock god for a day, how would you abuse the power?

Haha what?? Erm.. I would fly to Las Vegas and stay in the best hotel room and go on the rollercoaster.
