I don't know if you're one of the 33.5 million people who have watched Rebecca Black's music video for her song "Friday" on Youtube or not. If the answer is no, here's the video if you'd like to watch it.
This girl is recieving serious attention from the internet hate machine, and here's the thing... she's 13 years old. It's part of what irritates me about the internet, you get to hide behind anonymity, and so everyone feels perfectly comfortable posting on 13 year old girls video such crap like: "Hang yourself". Shut up, internet.
Why the hell are fully grown adults bullying a thirteen year old girl who made a music video to have fun with her friends? Because the internet allows for a certain amount of anonymity. I gaurentee not a single damn one of the jerks on the internet would approach this child and rip her to shreads to her face, so stop being a wimpy ass coward and hiding behind a computer screen, and act like a fucking adult.
Do I love this song? No. The lyrics are on the juvinile side for me, but she's THIRTEEN! This song is not marketed towards people who are 26 like me, it's marketed towards kids who are THIRTEEN like her. Besides, this song's lyrics are a LOT better than some of the crap that floods the radio right now, let me give you a few examples:
