Hello,

So I rented this game, Gears of War 2. Now I haven’t played the first one, so I was slightly lost on the story, but luckily, its easy to understand. Overall, fantastic game, I loved it.

The story, as previously stated, is easy to understand, you play a 100 percent American badass who is fighting to survive with his best friend along side the human race against aliens. There’s also a sub story about the other guys wife and stuff. Each level was really cool and had its own different cast of characters.

The combat was really good; the taking cover system was really good. Both blind fire and aimed fire was done well and the weapons are awesome. The chain gun was dope, and the shotty was as shotguns go, amazing. Of course there was a plethora of other weapons, but I found myself using these mostly. The AI was also very good, they took cover and flanked you and communicated with each other, so even on normal, the game was challenging enough.

The co-op was way wicked fun. A friend and I played Horde, which is a survive as long as you can type game style. Working together to stay alive was great, coming up with strategies, and covering each other really took you into the game and made you play hard.

Overall, this game was a solid shooter, I recommend it for anyone who wants to shoot aliens who don’t use lasers or plasma guns.
