Natty vs. Danny Noriega
I've recently had a chance to sit down and ask a former American Idol contestent some questions. You all may remember, and be familiar with Danny Noriega. From his quick wit with Simon, to the 'cute little tomato' story, we all have a reason to love Danny. I was able to ask him about his current ventrues along with how American Idol changed his life. Without further ado, I give to you, Mister Danny Noriega. First off, as everyone knows you were one of the highlights on American Idol this season, can you tell us what that experience was like, being on the show? The experience was Amazing! I had a great time, I met alot of people and made alot of friends and plus the exposer is priceless. So many times, it comes down to the song selection, did you feel your choices should have been different (however we all loved your selections by the way)? Thank you and yes, I would have loved to pick different songs but theres a person named Nigel lol! Who decided to pick 60's week 70's and 80's I wasnt even born in these year so it was a bit hard. I remember trying to pick a certain song and "they wouldnt let me sing it". Since you appeared on the show, you've attracted a huge fan base from basically all over the world, how has that changed things for you? And how does it make you feel to have so many people waiting and watching for your every move? Thats exactly how I feel at the moment I feel people are watching EVERYTHING I'm doing even when it comes to me coming on the internet. It isn't easy in this buisness I'm trying my hardest to get things started being that the people who were supposed to do it for me didnt. Since you've been on American Idol you've had some amazing opporunties, like appearing on Ellen, going on the cruise with Rosie and appearing on the Teen Choice Awards, how does it feel to be able to get your face and voice out there to so many people? It feels amazing! Thats the one thing I'm thankful for idol
for the exposer to do those things. I am not an avid youtuber, however, I have been watching the videos you have posted, and you have a fantastic comedic side, is there a part of you that has ever thought about geting into acting?
Thank you and yes, I'm trying to get into acting at the moment I always wanted to be in the buisness I knew I wanted to sing since I was a little kid but acting is something I also did while young. I would love to be in movies or a TV show! In terms of your music career, can you tell us a little something of what you've been up to since the show? I've heard that you have been meeting with some big name producers, does that mean that we can look forward be an album in the near future? I honestly at the moment cant speak about specific projects that I'm doing so I would have to say we will see whatsup with things. I've heard you mention on stickam that you turned down a cameo appearance in a Katy Perry video, is there a reason for that? It wasn't a cameo appearance it was background, I'd rather not comment on that though. Besides music, is there anything else that keeps your interest and your time occupied? You always have to have time for family and friends no matter what.
In ten years, where do you see yourself being or even doing for that matter? At least in two movies and an album out. Is there any advice you want to pass on to anyone planning to audition for American Idol? Or for someone just starting out in the industry? It's a hard industry it isnt about "just singing" you have to move, listen, follow direction and all that jazz. The Sound Faction is make up of six staff members who are random at best, love to laugh and make others laugh. We try to ask all of our interviewees five random questions at the end, so here goes. If you were a scented candle what would you smell like? Heaven Who would you wanna win a date with? My cat. What is your biggest guilty pleasure? The Hills Leg warmers: Functional accessory or bad fad? I wore them with ramiele during Idol so I think their hot. If you could be the champion of anything, what would it be? (and if you say The World, I might have to die of laughter!) I have no idea. I feel like I'm filling out a myspace survey.. Thank you again to Danny for taking time to talk to us. Keep an eye on his music and all other updates on his MySpace.
